The Vice-Chancellor and his Management team has held a series of engagements with the various categories of staff in the University as the New Year, 2024 and the new 2023/2024 Academic Year commenced.
The engagements held separately through the month of January, involved Deans, Directors and Heads of Department, Faculty, and senior administrators.
Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ben Q. Honyenuga, used the occasion to appreciate the support and contributions of the senior officers in delivering on the University’s mandate in the past year. He also extended his warm wishes for the New Year and urged them to approach their responsibilities with renewed vigour. The VC also encouraged the staff members to commit themselves to excellence in fulfilling the University’s mandate to students and the broader community.
Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Christopher Mensah entreated the officers to be guided by the University’s core values, especially integrity, in the discharge of their duties, and also ensure they play by the rules of engagement.
The Registrar, Dr. Christopher Amehoe urged the senior administrators to continue providing the critical support services to sustain the operations of the University in delivering on its mandate of developing highly skilled human capital through career-focused education, skills training, research and innovation.
The meetings held at the F.O. Kwami Council chamber also offered the officers opportunity to interact with Management in an atmosphere of collaboration and shared commitment to advancing the University’s academic and community-oriented objectives. They also offered valuable insights and suggestions to shape the new academic year positively.
Meanwhile, the VC has tasked the various directors and deans to submit a list of critical logistical needs in their respective departments for action by management.
