Ag. Director of Public Affairs, Ho Technical University

Mr. Francis Komla Ganyaglo is a distinguished academic administrator, lecturer, and professional marketer with a strong record in higher education and institutional leadership.

He holds a Higher National Diploma in Marketing from Ho Polytechnic, an Advanced Certificate (Level 2) from the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), UK, and a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from the University of Cape Coast.

He further earned a Commonwealth Executive Master of Business Administration (CEMBA) from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, and a Master of Philosophy in Marketing from the University of Ghana Business School.

He is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Interdisciplinary Studies (Public Policy and Social Change Option) at the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA).

At Ho Technical University, he serves as Senior Assistant Registrar and Alumni Relations Officer, and now as Acting Director of Public Affairs, where he provides strategic direction in institutional communication, alumni engagement, and public relations. He also lectures at the Evangelical Presbyterian University College (EPUC), Ho, Ghana, contributing to the training of future professionals in marketing and management.

Beyond academia, he is a Full Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), Ghana, and a Fellow of the Civilian Institute of Democratic Administrators (Nigeria). He is also Chief Executive Officer of multiple enterprises, reflecting his entrepreneurial drive and managerial expertise.

Mr. Ganyaglo's professional journey is complemented by his extensive public service experience, having served as Deputy Volta Regional Minister, Municipal Chief Executive for Kpando, and Acting District Chief Executive for North Dayi. A committed member of the NDC Council of Elders and its Secretary, he is widely recognized for his leadership, governance, and dedicated community service.

The Directorate

The Directorate of Public Affairs is an arm of the Registrary that oversees all functions and activities that continually seeks to build and maintain relationships with all the University's stakeholders and publics through communication and other related functions or activities.

The Directorate of Public Affairs (DPA) is the channel for the dissemination of timely relevant and accurate information. The Directorate coordinates and works with the various sections and offices of the university to ensure the attainment of the University's strategic objective.

To become a reliable and effective communication nerve of the Registrar contributing proactively to the attainment of the University's mandate and mission.

To build, maintain and enhance relationships with the University's publics that result in steady projection of the University's image and reputation on a global level.

Our Focus

In order to cultivate, coordinate and maintain the University's relations with its publics including the media, the Directorate oversees:

Planning and organising of University's functions and events such as Congregation, matriculations and Public Lectures
Protocol and Hospitality
Ensuring effective internal communication among staff and students
Overseeing and facilitating external communication
Media Relations
Facilitating the production of the University's publications
Developing the University marketing communication materials and publications
Coordinating and organizing outreach programmes
