Sixteen (16) brilliant but needy students of Ho Technical University (HTU) have received full scholarships from the Impala Foundation to cover their fees and SRC dues for the 2025/2026 academic year.
The support, amounting to over GH₵50,000, was announced at a short ceremony on campus on Friday, January 9, 2026.
The beneficiaries, selected from different departments by the Office of the Dean of Students Affairs, were joined by four students from the University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS) who also benefited from the gesture.
Executive Director of the Foundation, Hon. Dzifa Tegah, explained that the initiative was to ensure that financial challenges do not prevent young people with potential from achieving their dreams. She advised the students to remain disciplined, study hard, and make good use of the opportunity, stressing that the Foundation’s investment must be justified through their performance.

Registrar of HTU, Dr. Christopher Amehoe, expressed appreciation on behalf of management and appealed for the initiative to be made an annual programme. He assured that the University will continue to put systems in place to identify deserving students.
Dean of Students Affairs, Prof. Baidenger Agyekum Twumasi, also urged the beneficiaries to justify their selection by excelling academically and becoming worthy ambassadors of the Foundation’s goodwill.
The beneficiaries described the support as timely and impactful, offering them hope to pursue their dreams despite financial constraints.
Present at the ceremony were the Director of Academic Affairs, Head of Security, Student Affairs Officer, and a cross section of students.
