In a stirring celebration of academic excellence and leadership, the Nunya Library of Ho Technical University (HTU) has hosted a three-day exhibition showcasing the scholarly works of Prof. Ben Q. Honyenuga, the University’s first professor and current Vice-Chancellor.
The exhibition, held at the Architectural Technology Studio from Monday, July 7, 2025, served as a prelude to Prof. Honyenuga’s much-anticipated Inaugural Lecture.
The event was officially opened on Monday, July 7, 2025 by Pro Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Christopher Mensah, who commended Prof. Honyenuga’s enduring contributions to knowledge, leadership, and institutional development.
The exhibition featured a curated collection of the professor’s publications and research spanning over 25 years, with a focus on high-performance organizations, management innovation, knowledge management, and governance. As of 2025, Prof. Honyenuga has authored and co-authored over 90 scholarly publications, with his work cited more than 660 times, reflecting his influence on both academic and policy discourse.


Providing an overview of the exhibition, Prof. Maxwell Edem Azila-Gbettor, Dean of HTU Business School, described the initiative as a powerful tribute to a scholar whose work has shaped both theory and practice. He eulogised Prof. Honyenuga as a mentor and visionary whose academic rigor, leadership, and commitment to excellence have left an indelible mark on HTU and beyond. Prof. Azila-Gbettor emphasized the importance of such exhibitions in inspiring the next generation of scholars and reinforcing the university’s research culture.
Mr. Joseph Owusu Kwakye, Acting Head of the Nunya Library, described the exhibition as a proud moment for the institution. He highlighted the library’s commitment to preserving academic heritage and promoting scholarship, noting that the event reflects HTU’s values of education, creativity, and leadership.
The Registrar, Dr. Christopher Amehoe also lauded Prof. Honyenuga’s trailblazing leadership, describing the exhibition as a fitting tribute ahead of the University’s maiden Inaugural Lecture.


On his part, Prof. Honyenuga expressed deep appreciation to his mentors, colleagues, and mentees, emphasizing the transformative power of collaboration and mentorship in shaping academic journeys. He encouraged young faculty to seize opportunities, work together, and strive for excellence, citing his own career path as a testament to the rewards of determination, partnership, and hard work.
The 3-day exhibition will end on Wednesday, July 9, 2025 after the Inaugural Lecture.
