The University has reaffirmed its commitment to academic excellence and research-driven education by organizing a capacity-building seminar for faculty and staff.
Held on Monday, April 28, 2025, the seminar, themed “Bridging the Knowledge Divide: Identifying and Writing Research Gaps, Theoretical Grounding, and Practical Contributions in Academic Research,” aimed to enhance participants’ research skills and scholarly contributions. The event welcomed faculty members and administrators seeking to deepen their understanding of academic inquiry and practical research applications.
Facilitated by Professor Moses Acquaah, Director of PhD Programs at the Bryan School of Business and Economics, University of North Carolina, USA, the seminar covered essential aspects of academic research, including identifying research gaps, strengthening theoretical foundations, and ensuring meaningful contributions to knowledge.

Registrar, Dr. Christopher Amehoe emphasized that the seminar aligns with the University’s strategic plan, reinforcing its dedication to staff development and innovation.
The seminar attracted over 100 participants from both teaching and non-teaching departments who were eager to refine their research expertise.
