Ho Technical University (HTU) has commenced discussions with a nine-member delegation from the College of Charleston, USA, to foster international academic partnerships.
The meeting, held on Monday, May 19, focused on collaboration in research, faculty and student exchanges, and interdisciplinary academic projects. The delegation comprised faculty and students from the American institution.
Welcoming the team, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Ben Q. Honyenuga highlighted HTU’s commitment to global engagement, outlining the University’s academic programmes, infrastructure, and recent innovations. He underscored internationalisation as a strategic goal and expressed eagerness to deepen ties with the College of Charleston.


Leader of the delegation, Prof. James Malm, lauded HTU’s progress and proposed partnership models beneficial to both institutions. Dr. Bryan Ganaway, Associate Director of the Honors College at the College of Charleston, described HTU’s growth as impressive, noting its potential as a destination for American students seeking exchange opportunities.
He emphasised that HTU’s English-medium instruction enhances its accessibility for international academic engagement and expressed strong interest in fostering mobility and shared learning.




The visit concluded with an interactive session between the delegation and HTU students, focusing on exchange experiences, global learning, and future engagements.
