The Faculty of Engineering of University has held a Students’ Engagement and Interactive Forum for its first-year students.
The event, which took place on Wednesday, January 28, 2025, aimed at introducing the new students to the faculty’s academic programmes, resources, and opportunities, as well as fostering interaction between students and faculty members.
In his address, the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Maxwell Akple, highlighted essential academic guidelines for the students. He stressed the importance of punctuality, registration of courses on time, and academic integrity.
Prof. Akple warned that examination malpractice would not be tolerated, and offenders would face severe penalties, including rustication. He also encouraged the students to network with their peers and faculty members, emphasizing the importance of building professional relationships.

The Faculty Programme Coordinator, Ing. Dr. Hayford Ofori, outlined the activities and programmes planned for the 2024/2025 academic year, encouraging the students to participate actively in all faculty extracurricular activities.
Dr. Ing. Mrs. Patricia Asatewaa-Tannor, Patron for Women in Engineering (WINE), urged female students to join the association, which aims to empower young women in engineering.
The event concluded with an open forum, where students asked questions and received responses from faculty members.
