HTU TEAMS ADVANCE TO AGRITECH CHALLENGE PRO – 2025

Ho Technical University (HTU) has made a strong impression at the AgriTech Challenge, with three of its teams – EcoFert, AgroStars, and Nature’s Novelties – advancing to the next stage of the competition, the AgriTech Challenge PRO – 2025.

The PRO Challenge offers a grand prize of up to $50,000 to further grow their agribusiness ventures.

The AgriTech Challenge, led by the Kosmos Innovation Center in partnership with 16 tertiary institutions, including HTU, supports and nurtures young entrepreneurs aged 18–35 passionate about agribusiness. Since its inception in 2016, the challenge has provided a platform for aspiring agripreneurs, with HTU joining in 2023.

Each year, applicants undergo a rigorous process, including orientation, market research tours, capacity building, and personalized coaching. At HTU, Faculty Advisor Dr. Daniel Agbeko guides this process, supported by Prof. Emmanuel Letsyo, Dr. Jennifer Adaletey, Mr. Frank Kwaku, and Program Officer Mawunyo Aziave.

As part of qualifying for the PRO, each of the three HTU teams received a $2,000 grant to finalize product development, conduct research, and take critical business development steps.
