On Wednesday, July 24, 2024, the Management of the University hosted a luncheon for international students. They include 20 inbound students from Nigeria, Gabon, Benin, Chad, Cuba, and Togo, as well as one student from Germany and five HTU students bound for Germany and the USA.

The event celebrated diversity and fostered good relations between Management and students. Outgoing Dean of International Programmes and Institutional Linkages, Dr. Paulina Adzoyi, praised the foreign students’ conduct and integration, highlighting the University’s commitment to a welcoming environment.
Vice-Chancellor Prof. Ben Honyenuga encouraged the students to embrace cultural diversity, seize HTU’s opportunities, excel academically, and make a lasting impact in their home countries.
The event also allowed students to share concerns and feedback, which the Vice-Chancellor addressed. David Jacques Goldson Hounkpevi, a Level 200 HND Mechanical Engineering student from Benin, expressed gratitude for the warm reception he received from friends and lecturers, feeling accepted and valued within the HTU community.
