The University Management has officially received keys to the newly renovated old library block on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, marking a major infrastructural boost in the University.
The project began on October 21, 2024, and was completed in just one month by MOJEKO Company Limited. At a brief handing-over ceremony, Mr. Nicholas Awagah, Director of Works and Physical Development, highlighted the transformation of the old library block into modern labs and classrooms with four air conditioners per laboratory, and necessary equipment, suitable for the 21st Century University student.
Vice-Chancellor Prof. Ben Q. Honyenuga expressed excitement about the renovation, which was undertaken despite financial challenges to accommodate a special project. “After decades without renovation, the building will now serve as a Centre of Excellence with state-of-the-art labs and classrooms” he noted.
The Vice-Chancellor thanked the Director of Works and Physical Development, Mr. Awagah, his Management and MOJEKO Company Limited for completing the project on time.
This renovation follows the upgrade of the Agricultural Engineering Block to an ultramodern status, which was completed earlier this year, adding to the physical infrastructural advancement of the University.
