Ag. Registrar, Ho Technical University

Dr. Michael T. K. Todoko was appointed Acting Registrar of the University on 28 March 2026. As Chief Administrative Officer and Custodian of the University Seal, he provides strategic leadership and oversight for the University's administrative systems, ensuring the effective implementation of institutional policies and decisions while promoting sound governance and operational excellence.

Dr. Todoko brings to the position a wealth of administrative experience and extensive institutional knowledge gained through years of dedicated service to the University. Prior to his appointment as Acting Registrar, he served as the substantive Director of the Human Resource Directorate from January 2021, where he championed strategic human resource reforms and strengthened staff management systems.

His distinguished career within the University has seen him serve in several key leadership positions, including:

  • Senior Assistant Registrar and Head of the Vice-Chancellor's Secretariat (2016–2020)
  • Assistant Registrar and Head of the Registrar's Secretariat (2013–2016)
  • Acting Head of Academic Affairs, Head of Student Records and Information Systems, and Transport Officer (2011–2013)

With his broad administrative expertise and deep understanding of the University's governance structures, Dr. Todoko continues to provide effective leadership in advancing the University's mission through efficient administration, policy implementation, and institutional development.

The Registrar's Department

The Registrar is the Chief Administrative Officer of the University and the Custodian of the University Seal. The office provides strategic leadership for the University's administrative functions and serves as the central hub around which the management and administration of the institution revolve.

It provides general administrative, secretarial, and human resource services while ensuring the effective implementation of the policies and decisions of the University Council and other governing bodies in accordance with the University's Statutes.

The Registrar's Department comprises five Directorates that support the University's academic and administrative operations, ensuring efficiency, accountability, and excellent service delivery.

Together, these Directorates work collaboratively to advance the University's mission and strategic objectives through effective administration and policy implementation.
