ICAG Delegation Engages HTU Management Ahead of Annual Conference

A delegation from the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana (ICAG), led by its Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Eric Oduro-Osae, on Monday, April 20, 2026 paid a courtesy call on the Management of Ho Technical University (HTU) ahead of the Institute’s Annual Conference scheduled for May 2026 in Ho.

Mr. Oduro-Osae expressed appreciation for the warm engagement and announced plans to establish an ICAG Students’ Society at HTU to nurture young talents and inspire students to pursue careers in accounting. He disclosed that the conference, which will attract over 2,000 participants, will open at Mawuli Senior High School before continuing with technical sessions on the HTU campus.

Receiving the delegation, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Ben Honyenuga congratulated Mr. Oduro-Osae on his appointment and commended ICAG for selecting Ho as the venue for the landmark event. He noted that the strengthened partnership between ICAG and HTU would inspire students and faculty to aspire to greater heights in the accounting profession. Prof. Honyenuga further assured the delegation of the University’s readiness to host delegates, noting that, the Hospitality Department was available to provide all necessary services for a successful conference.

The ICAG delegation included executives of the Ho Society of ICAG, led by Chairman, Mr. Daniel Tsorhe, as well as HTU staff who are members of ICAG, notably the Ag. Director of Internal Audit, Dr. Frank Klu.

Also present at the meeting were the Pro Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Christopher Mensah; Ag. Registrar, Dr. Michael Todoko; Director of Finance, Mr. Augustine Owusu; and Ag. Director of Public Affairs, Mr. Francis Ganyaglo.

The visit sets the stage for a historic gathering in May, positioning HTU as a hub for professional development and reinforcing its role in shaping the next generation of accountants in Ghana.
