Ho Technical University (HTU) and E4IMPACT Foundation have graduated 26 participants of the 2026 cohort of the International Certificate in Impact Entrepreneurship (ICIE), after completing a four‑month intensive programme designed to equip young entrepreneurs with practical skills for building sustainable and investment‑ready businesses.
The graduation ceremony, held on Monday, August 17, 2026, at HTU, marked the conclusion of the initiative delivered in partnership with the E4Impact Foundation under the EU–Ghana Pact for Skills.

Programme Lead, Dr Donatus Ayitey, noted that the programme goes beyond traditional business training by equipping idea holders, start‑ups and scale‑ups to build socially and environmentally responsible businesses. He highlighted the support provided, including full sponsorship for some participants, internships, and SME support, stressing that the value of the programme lies not only in the certificate but also in the networks, mentorship and opportunities available through the programme.
Dr Ayitey urged graduates to translate their knowledge into sustainable businesses and meaningful impact, emphasising effective communication and pitching as critical tools for attracting customers, partners and investors. He reminded them that success should be measured not only by profit but by the opportunities and positive change created in communities.
Business Coach and Mentor, Dr Harrison Adjimah, congratulated the participants and encouraged them to view the milestone as the beginning of their entrepreneurial journey. He urged them to focus on solving community problems, embracing innovation and consistently measuring the social impact of their ventures.

The Vice Chancellor , Prof. Ben Q. Honyenuga, in his address, commended the facilitators and participants for their commitment, describing the programme as an opportunity for HTU to extend its impact beyond the traditional university community. He stressed that the graduation was not merely about certificates but about demonstrating knowledge, skills and abilities acquired. He challenged the graduates to make their training visible through innovation, creativity and the development of scalable businesses that create employment.
Prof. Honyenuga assured the graduates of HTU’s continued support, particularly from relevant faculties and entrepreneurship lecturers, and urged them to maintain strong links with the University. He emphasised that the ultimate measure of the programme’s success would be the tangible impact graduates create in their families, workplaces, communities and the wider economy.

The ceremony demonstrates HTU’s readiness to collaborate with partners in advancing innovation and entrepreneurship.
