Ho Technical University, has on Tuesday, 12th November 2024, received resounding applause for making tremendous strides in the Technical, Vocational Education and Training space in Ghana’s Higher Education. The high recognition and commendation from the Director-General of TVET Service of Ghana was made at a congress of heads and staff of technical institutes in the Volta and Oti regions.
The DG, Mr. David Prah recognised the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Honyenuga for his exceptional leadership and commitment to enhancing Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in Ghana.
According to the Director-General, the VC’s commitment to TVET has been evident in HTU’s innovative programs and partnerships, which have contributed significantly to the development of the TVET sector in Ghana. He noted that, the University’s focus on providing industry-relevant training has supplied the country with the requisite human capital for national development. “this is what a country like ours need- graduates with employable and entrepreneurial skills”,
The recognition is a testament to the Vice-Chancellor’s dedication to excellence in TVET and his efforts to position HTU as a leader in technical and vocational education in Ghana.
