HTU Receives Rotary Delegation Ahead of 2027 District Conference

A delegation from the Rotary Club of Ho, led by the District 9104 Governor, Dr. Jack Andrews Dotsey, paid a courtesy call on the Management of Ho Technical University (HTU) at the F.O. Kwami Council Chamber on Thursday, August 6, 2026. The visit formed part of preparations toward the 2027 Rotary District Conference.

Dr. Dotsey announced that Rotary District 9104 intends to partner with HTU to host the conference on campus. He explained that the event would introduce Rotary to the Volta Region on a deeper level, expand the frontiers of the Club, and promote business networking and tourism. He emphasised that the conference would serve as a platform to showcase Rotary’s values while fostering regional development and international collaboration.

Welcoming the delegation, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ben Q. Honyenuga, thanked the Club for identifying the University as an ideal partner for the hosting of the conference.

Prof. Honyenuga commended Rotary for its longstanding contributions to society, citing initiatives such as immunisation campaigns, clean water projects, and youth empowerment. He noted that these interventions have positively impacted communities across Ghana and beyond and added that the University looked forward to working closely with the organisation to ensure a successful hosting.

The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss areas of collaboration and reaffirm HTU’s commitment to supporting initiatives that advance social development.
