Officials of the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund) on Monday, August 10, 2026, visited Ho Technical University to inspect ongoing projects on campus.
The delegation comprising, Rev. Dr. Cyril Fayose, a GETFund Board Member, and Mr. Victor Tiher, Projects Coordinator, inspected four major facilities currently under construction.
These are the three-storey classroom block for the Faculty of Art & Design being executed by Mssr Proko Construction Ltd, the 20-unit staff accommodation and a two-storey classroom block, both undertaken by Defiat Development Company, as well as the Rector’s residence being constructed by Mssr Tallman Ltd.

Welcoming the team, Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ben Honyenuga, expressed gratitude to GETFund for reactivating the long delayed projects and sustaining funding support. He noted that aside from the Proko project, which has been progressing at a slow pace, the other three are advancing steadily, with two already at finishing stages.
The Vice-Chancellor therefore appealed to the officials to intervene in expediting the Proko project, stressing that several efforts in the past had not yielded results. He explained that the completion of the classrooms will help ease pressure on the limited spaces available for teaching and learning.
The GETFund officials assured management of the outfit’s commitment towards completing all legacy projects and promised to engage directly with Mssr Proko to address the delays.

Present at the inspection were management members including the Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Christopher Mensah, Director of Works and Physical Development, Dr. Nicholas Awagah, and Director of Finance, Mr. Augustine Kwame Owusu.
