The University has officially matriculated 24 fresh students from the Supply Applications School (SAS) of the Naval Training Command (NAVTRAC) to pursue the Advanced Certificate in Procurement and Supply.
The ceremony, held on Thursday, September 10, 2026, at the STAR‑C, formally inducted the officers into the Department of Logistics and Supply Chain Management under the HTU Business School.
Out of the 32 personnel in the 8th cohort, 24 took the matriculation oath, while eight were exempted, having previously matriculated at the University.
Present at the event were officers and instructors from SAS, including Commander Dennis Adjei, Commanding Officer; Naval Lieutenant Michael Quaynor, Second‑in‑Command; and Chief Petty Officer Class One Darkwah Godfred, Coxswain. They were joined by Management, Deans, Heads of Department, and senior administrative staff of HTU.
The fresh student were formally presented for matriculation by the Dean of the HTU Business School, Prof. Maxwell Azila‑Gbettor. The Acting Registrar, Dr. Michael Todoko, subsequently administered the matriculation oath, explaining that the oath is taken only once during a student’s period of study at HTU.
In his charge, Dr. Todoko urged the new students to adhere strictly to the University’s rules and regulations, maintain high academic standards, and avoid any acts of examination malpractice or misconduct.
Vice‑Chancellor, Prof. Ben Honyenuga, in his formal admission of the personnel conferred on them all the rights, privileges, and responsibilities of HTU students. He commended them and emphasized discipline as the bedrock of academic success. He further encouraged them to let their professional background as personnel of the Ghana Armed Forces guide their academic engagement, remain steadfast in their studies, and take full advantage of the expertise offered by the University.
