Ho Technical University has hosted the third quarter meeting of the Vice-Chancellors of Technical Universities, Ghana (VCTUG) at the Sogakope Beach Resort on Monday, August 24, 2026.
The meeting brought together nine out of the ten Vice-Chancellors, together with their Registrars and Directors of Finance, to deliberate on issues of growth, sustainability, and the advancement of Technical Universities in Ghana.
In his welcome address, Vice-Chancellor of HTU, Prof. Ben Honyenuga, expressed delight at hosting his colleagues in the Volta Region. He explained that the University chose Sogakope as the venue for members to experience the tourism of the region while conducting their official business in a serene environment.

Chairman of VCTUG, Ing. Prof. Kwadwo Adinkrah-Appiah, Vice-Chancellor of Sunyani Technical University, commended HTU for the warm hospitality and underscored the importance of the quarterly engagements. He emphasized that such meetings strengthen the collective voice of Technical Universities and reaffirm their role in national development.

Present at the meeting were Vice-Chancellors from Ho, Accra, Koforidua, Kumasi, Cape Coast, Takoradi, Sunyani, Tamale, and Dr. Hilla Limann, Wa, Technical Universities.
The session provided a platform for the leaders and administrators to share experiences, review progress, and strategize on emerging challenges confronting the sector.
