FAST Celebrates Outgoing HoD for Hospitality & Tourism Mgt.

The Faculty of Applied Sciences and Technology (FAST) has organized a send-off ceremony to honour Dr. Otilia Adzinyo for her three-year tenure as Head of the Department of Hospitality and Tourism Management. The event was held at Fred’s Kitchen in Ho.

The ceremony was attended by the Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Christopher Mensah, together with members of the faculty including the Dean, Prof. Emmanuel Letsyo, Heads of Department, and other university officials. Tributes were delivered by her family and colleagues in the faculty, celebrating her service and dedication.

The Pro-Vice-Chancellor commended Dr. Adzinyo’s leadership, highlighting her role in raising departmental funds, reviving the university cafeteria, and sustaining academic standards.

In her remarks, Dr. Adzinyo expressed gratitude to management, colleagues, and family. She recalled the challenges she faced when she assumed office, highlighted the department’s successes in competitions, and advised future leaders to remain focused, avoid workplace politics, and rely on hard work and prayer.

The ceremony ended with a toast in her honour, reinforcing FAST’s tradition of celebrating dedicated service and academic excellence.
