The Country Director of the E4Impact Foundation, Mr. Saviour Agortimevor, has lauded Ho Technical University (HTU) for its successful implementation of the two‑year International Certificate in Impact Entrepreneurship programme.
His visit to the University, on Friday, August 28, 2026, followed the graduation of the final cohort under the project, during which he commended management for their commitment and achievements.
Mr. Agortimevor expressed appreciation for the University’s role in the programme and hinted at future initiatives, including an Agritech Challenge and a coffee value chain project. The Agritech Challenge is expected to bring 25 innovators from across Ghana to HTU for training, while also offering six months of internship opportunities to 50 students with monthly stipends.
He further noted that the Italian Government, in partnership with the Catholic University of Milan, will support research into Ghana’s coffee value chain, with HTU expected to lead the national effort, recognising the Volta Region’s potential in coffee production.
Vice‑Chancellor, Prof. Ben Honyenuga, welcomed the announcements and described the collaboration with E4Impact Foundation over the past two years as “phenomenal.” He said the proposed Agritech Challenge aligns with HTU’s mandate and will complement the forthcoming Food, Agriculture, Technology and Sustainability (FATAS) Conference, while the coffee project presents an opportunity to extend the University’s impact across Ghana.
Prof. Honyenuga commended the HTU team, led by Dr. Donatus Ayittey and Dr. Harrison Adjimah, for successfully executing the first project under the partnership. He expressed confidence that the new initiatives, when rolled out, will open fresh opportunities for innovation, student development, and international collaboration.
