Prof. Ben Q. Honyenuga, Vice Chancellor of Ho Technical University, paid a surprise visit to the site of the ongoing TUTAG Executive Ward project at the University Clinic.
The facility, which commenced in February this year, is a 12-unit executive ward being constructed to expand healthcare services for the University community and the wider Ho Municipality.
Visiting the site after an engagement with staff of the Clinic to commemorate this year’s International Nurses’ Day, on May 12, 2026, Prof. Honyenuga inspected the progress of work and reaffirmed Management’s commitment to improving healthcare infrastructure for staff and the broader University community.

He was accompanied by the Ag. Registrar, Dr. Michael Todoko, Chairman of the Health Services Management Committee, Prof. Maxwell Edem Azila-Gbettor, and other officials.

The project was initiated by the HTU Chapter of the Technical University Teachers Association of Ghana (TUTAG), which cut sod for the facility in January 2026. The project is expected to ease pressure on the Clinic’s existing 18-bed capacity and enhance inpatient care.
