The National Identification Authority (NIA) has expressed profound appreciation to the Management of Ho Technical University (HTU) for graciously hosting a week‑long national training programme for its over one thousand field staff.
The exercise, held between April 27 and May 2, 2026, formed part of preparations towards the nationwide roll‑out of the Mass Registration of Children between ages six and fourteen.
The delegation, led by Alhaji Mohammed Naziru, Acting Deputy Executive Director in charge of General Services, was warmly received by senior officials of the University, including the Ag. Registrar, Dr. Michael Todoko, the Director of Finance, Mr. Augustine Owusu, the Director of Works and Physical Development, Dr. Nicholas Awagah, the Ag. Director of Public Affairs, Mr. Francis Ganyaglo, and the Head of Department of Hospitality and Tourism Management, Dr. Otilia Adzinyo.
Throughout the programme, trainees benefitted from the University’s facilities, including lecture halls and accommodation, while the Department of Hospitality and Tourism Management provided meals to sustain the intensive sessions.

In their remarks, NIA officials lauded HTU’s logistical support and institutional commitment, describing the collaboration as a testament to the University’s growing stature as a hub for capacity‑building and national partnership.
Closing the engagement, Dr. Michael Todoko expressed gratitude to the Authority for choosing HTU as host, and called for deeper collaborations in the future to advance professional training and national service delivery.
The successful hosting of the programme underscored HTU’s role in strengthening national systems and showcased the institution’s dedication to fostering excellence beyond academia.
