VC REWARDS BIG CHEF TERTIARY WINNERS WITH SCHOLARSHIP

The University has awarded a one-year scholarship to students – Sherifatu Salifu Anyogbire and King Jones Addoh, winners of Season 2 of the Big Chef Tertiary competition.

The scholarship, announced by Vice-Chancellor Prof. Ben Honyenuga on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at a ceremony to welcome the contestants, will cover the academic fees of the two students for a year.

According to Prof. Honyenuga, this gesture underscores HTU’s commitment to supporting academic excellence and talent development.

Sherifatu, L300 and King Jones, L200 students of the Department of Hospitality and Tourism Management, defeated host, Kumasi as well as Koforidua and Takoradi Technical Universities in the finals of the reality cooking competition held in Kumasi on December 2. They expressed their gratitude to the university for its unwavering support throughout the competition.

This recognition reinforces HTU’s reputation as a leading institution that values and rewards student achievement.
