The University held a joint Matriculation and Graduation Ceremony on Thursday, September 5, 2024, at the Supply Application School of the Naval Training Command in Nutekpor.

The two-part ceremony consisted of the 5th Matriculation Ceremony, which welcomed the first cohort of 53 military personnel into the University’s Diploma programme (30 in Procurement and Supply, and 23 in Secretaryship and Management Studies), followed by the 4th Graduation Ceremony, where 21 personnel were awarded Certificates in Secretaryship and Management Studies

Prof. Christopher Mensah, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, presided over the Ceremony on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor, with Dr. Christopher Amehoe, Registrar, moderating. In his address, the Pro-VC assured the new students of faculty support and urged them to be resilient and dedicated. He also encouraged the fresh graduates to apply their new skills and knowledge in their military professions, guided by the HTU values of integrity, quality, innovativeness, and social inclusiveness.

Commodore Solomon Asiedu-Larbi, Flag Officer Commanding, NAVTRAC, commended the graduands and urged the matriculants to emulate their example. He applauded the Management of HTU for supporting the Ghana Navy’s aspirations to enhance operational efficiency through continuous professional training.

Special awards were presented to three deserving graduands, including L/Cpl. Augustus Yeboah, who was awarded the Overall Best Graduating Student.

The Ceremony was attended by University officers, including the Dean of HTU Business School, Directors of Academic and Public Affairs, Heads of Management Sciences and Logistics and Supply Chain Departments, alongside commanding officers and other officers of the Naval Training Command.
