Mr. Francis Komla Ganyaglo has been appointed the Acting Director of Public Affairs, following the compulsory retirement of Mr. Emmanuel Wisdom Selase, Deputy Registrar, on March 24, 2026.
Mr. Selase had held the role in an acting capacity since 2022.
Mr. Ganyaglo, a Senior Assistant Registrar, serves as Alumni Relations Officer under the Directorate of Public Affairs. With a background in marketing he is expected to bring leadership and expertise to advancing the University’s corporate image and strengthening stakeholder engagement.
His appointment signals a new phase for the Directorate as HTU continues to enhance its visibility and reputation within Ghana’s higher education landscape.

Hon. Francis Komla Ganyaglo is an accomplished administrator, politician, lecturer, and entrepreneur. He holds a Higher National Diploma in Marketing from the then Ho Polytechnic, an Advanced Certificate (Level 2) from the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), UK, and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing from the University of Cape Coast. He further obtained a Commonwealth Executive Master of Business Administration (CEMBA) from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, and a Master of Philosophy in Marketing from the University of Ghana Business School.
He is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Interdisciplinary Studies (Public Policy and Social Change Option) at the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA), Ghana.
Hon. Ganyaglo has served in various leadership positions, including Deputy Volta Regional Minister, Municipal Chief Executive for Kpando, and Acting District Chief Executive for North Dayi.
Presently, he serves as Senior Assistant Registrar and Alumni Relations Officer at Ho Technical University, and as an Adjunct Lecturer at the Evangelical Presbyterian University College (EPUC), Ho, Ghana.
He is also the Chief Executive Officer of multiple enterprises, a Fellow of the Civilian Institute of Democratic Administrators (Nigeria), and a Full Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), Ghana. A committed member of the NDC Council of Elders and its Secretary, he is widely recognized for his leadership, governance, and dedicated community service.
