A week-long capacity building workshop on Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) is underway at the GM Afeti Auditorum for staff of Ho Technical University.
The programme being facilitated by Mr. Senanu Mensah and Quatada N. Mohammed from the Internal Audit Agency, has in attendance members of the University Management, including Directors, Deans, Heads of Department and Unit, Senior members and staff of the Directorates of Internal Audit, Finance, Planning and Quality Assurance.
Professor Ben Q. Honyenuga, the Vice-Chancellor, who opened the workshop on Monday, November 9, 2020, expressed excitement at the Agency’s response to the University’s invitation to enhance the capacity of staff in risk management, a requirement of the Public Financial Management Act, (Act 921 of 2016).
‘ I am really exicted about this training, because it will equip the University to fully satisfy statutory requirements such as the Public Financial Management Act, which can present a challenge to us,’ he stated.
He thus entreated the participants to be actively engaged in the sessions, which will end up with the drafting of a Risk Management Policy and Charter for the University.
