HTU SANCTIONS 26 STUDENTS FOR EXAMS MALPRACTICE

The Management of Ho Technical University has cracked the whip on 26 students who were caught engaging in examination malpractice during the End-of-First Semester exams for the 2024/2025 academic year.

In a notice signed by the Registrar, Dr. Christopher K. Amehoe, 25 students have been rusticated for one or two semesters depending on the severity of their misconduct, while one student has been reprimanded and placed on a bond of good behaviour.

The affected students, drawn from various departments including Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Building Technology, will have their implicated papers cancelled. They are also expected to vacate campus and stay away from all university activities until their rustication period ends.

Heads of Departments, Halls, and Security have been tasked to ensure strict enforcement of the sanctions. The University has also issued a stern warning to all students to steer clear of exam malpractice or face even harsher consequences.
