HTU HOSTS INTERNATIONAL DELEGATION TO EXPLORE ‘HUB OF EXCELLENCE’ INITIATIVE

The University on January 11, 2025, played host to a 13-member delegation from Plan International Ghana, Plan International Korea, and Hyundai Motor Company (HMC).

The delegation, received by the Pro Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Christopher Mensah, and other management members, aimed to assess HTU’s resources and facilities for a potential partnership to establish a Hub of Excellence.

The proposed initiative focuses on training TVET teachers to deliver high-quality technical skills, enhancing employability and entrepreneurship among graduates, particularly in the automotive department.

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ben Q. Honyenuga, who joined the discussion virtually, expressed optimism about the project and hinted at a potential Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to officially commence the initiative.

After the discussions, the delegation toured the campus, inspecting labs and workshops.
