The Council of Ho Technical University at its 113 Regular Meeting held on Friday, 17th November, 2023, approved a recommendation from the University Appointments and Promotions Board to promote two (2) Senior Assistant Registrars to the rank of Deputy Registrar in the Office of the Registrar of the University. The Senior Assistant Registrars promoted to Deputy Registrar are:
- MR. ISAAC SAWADONG MEYIR – Office of the Registrar
- MS. LAWRENDA ADIASANY – Office of the Registrar
The appointments take effect from 1 January, 2023
MR. ISAAC S. MEYIR holds an MPhil in Childhood Studies from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology and B. A in Population and Family Life from the University of Cape Coast. He began his career in Ho Technical University in November 2011 as Assistant Registrar in the Office of the Registrar and was promoted to Senior Assistant Registrar in September, 2016. Mr. Meyir served as Head of Academic Affairs, Head of Public Affairs and Assistant Registrar, Student Affairs. Mr. Meyir is currently the Ag Director of Academic Affairs of the University.
MS. LAWRENDA ADIASANY holds an M.A in Human Resource Development from the University of Cape Coast, M.A in Development Corporation from the EWHA Womans University, South Korea and B.A in Special Education from the University of Education, Winneba. She was appointed as Assistant Registrar in the Office of the Registrar in November, 2011 and promoted to the Rank of Senior Assistant Registrar in September, 2016. Ms. Adiasany served as Head of Teaching and Examinations Unit, Head of Rector’s Office and Head of Registrar’s Office. Ms. Adiasany is currently the Administrator of the Graduate School of the University.
The University Council, in approving their promotions commended the two (2) newly appointed Deputy Registrars for their performance and support to the University over the years. Council further expressed satisfaction with the quality of their administrative and professional performance which are comparable to similar standards in reputable Universities.
