The University is participating in the Association of Technical Universities and Polytechnics in Africa (ATUPA) Conference, which opens in Accra, on Monday, August 28, 2023.
The week-long conference, which is taking place at Accra International Conference Center, is on the theme, ‘Mainstreaming TVET for Skills Development, Mobility and Resilient Economies in Africa’.
Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ben Honyenuga, who doubles as the Chairman of the Local Organising Committee, is leading the HTU delegation, comprising, faculty and students.
The students, partaking in the Fifth Pan-African Youth Forum of the ATUPA Conference, will be showcasing HTU’s research and innovation outputs at the Conference exhibition.
The Association of Technical Universities and Polytechnics in Africa (ATUPA), was born out of a resolution of the 7th Commonwealth Conference of Education Ministers that was held in Accra, Ghana in March 1977, with a mandate to support professional and skills development and to promote policy advocacy in favour of technical and vocational education and training (TVET).
