Youth NGO Donates to HTU

Ho Technical University on Wednesday, November 4, 2020 received  book donation from "Those who Inspire Us" an international NGO with the focus on inspiring young people across the globe to aspire for greatness.

A 6-member delegation from the Ghana chapter of the group, led by Mr. Jake Obeng-Bediako, Youth Ambassador at the Office of the President, presented 60 copies of the book, titled "THOSE WHO INSPIRE GHANA" to the University and some stationeries to the students leadership.

The book which featured the life stories of some accomplished Ghanaians, according to Obeng-Bediako, was a vision to challenge the youth to move beyond the ordinary to reach higher heights.

Receiving the books on behalf of HTU, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ben Q. Honyenuga said the donation was timely as the youth today need real life inspiration in addition to the education they receive although education is paramount in every endeavour towards sustainable success.

Towards inspiration and elections, he added " It is important for the youth to be inspired in this era towards a peaceful and violent-free election".

Prof. Honyenuga thanked the delegation for choosing HTU as their first University on their national tour donation.

The delegation including,  Bradley Ponu Amankwah, Dyllis Dakora, Sibidiw Sulemana Wumpini, Marilyn K. Nhyira-Boateng and Abena P. Antwi-Kusi later interacted with the Executives of the Students Representative Council and some students on campus.

The brief ceremony, which was held at F.O Kwami Council Chamber, was witnessed by other Management members including the Ag. Pro-Vice-Chancellor.
