Computer Science and Industrial Arts Departments of Ho Technical University have emerged winners of the Council for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (COTVET) National Skills Competition held at the Trade Fair Centre in Accra for the period November 6 –November 9, 2018.
Ho Technical University presented two candidates each for Information Technology (IT) Software Solutions for Business and Graphic Design Technology. The students who participated in the contest were: Kwaku Boakye-Frempong and Jerry Aidoo for IT Solutions for Business category; and Morrison Dzata and Matthew Thanks for the Graphic Design Technology category.

Skills Competition
At the end of the Competition, Morrison Dzata of the Industrial Art emerged the overall National Winner in the Graphic Design Technology, whiles Matthew Thanks was the Second National Best in the same category. Whereas, in the IT Software Solutions for Business category, Kwaku Boakye-Frempong took the second position in the national competition.
The winners of the national competition will represent Ghana in the continental competition scheduled for Kigali, Rwanda in 2019.
