Meet the General Manager of Genelec Infrastructure Development Services (GIDS).

He is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor, and a member of Chartered Institution of Arbitrators.

Mr. Benjamin Kwesi Anim (Alias Bishop Tee)

Popularly known as Bishop Tee in his school days at Ho Technical Institute, Mr. Benjamin Kwesi Anim entered Ho Technical Institute (now Ho Technical University) in 1973. Some of his mates were; Hon. Seth Tekpe, former Finance Minister of Ghana, Cyprian Homawu, and Hon. Attuquaye Armah, former Deputy Minister of Communication, Ghana.

Benjamin entered Ho Technical Institute (now Ho Technical University) in September, 1973 to pursue the three years course in Building Construction – City and Guilds – Block work and Concreting. ‘The institute at their time was the best ever’ says, Bishop Tee. There was a well-equipped auto mechanical and carpentry workshops, first class kitchen equipment for the catering courses etc. The Agric department at their time had two new tractors, the institute (now a university) had a library well stocked with books, classroom blocks, and dormitories well maintained. Also, there were students from all the regions of Ghana, including Togo and Nigeria. Mr. Dzradosi was the Principal at their time, with Mr. Kpodo (handsome man) as the Vice Principal. Mr. Aggrah was the senior house master, together with Mr. Kporxa and Mrs. Tawia among others.

In 1999, Mr. Anim (Bishop Tee) left Ghana for further studies in the United Kingdom. Currently, he is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor with experience in large infrastructure, residential and civil engineering project who has worked in Saudi Arabia, United Kingdom and Ghana. Benjamin has carried out multi-million dollar infrastructure projects in rail, and multi-storey building in Riyadh City and Maccah in the capacity of Cost Manager. He has worked across the public and private sectors for large construction and consultancy services in the UK. This diversity has provided Mr. Anim with a number of challenges that also helped him develop wide range of skills which include; Project Management, Cost Management, Employer’s Agent, and Commercial Arbitrator.

He is a trained Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) Assessor, and has successfully mentored new Chartered Quantity Surveyors for RICS Assessment of Professional Competence. He holds a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Project Management and Property Development from London South Band University. His interest in professional development led him to do a further study in International Commercial Arbitration, thus a member of the Chartered Institution of Arbitrators (CIArb).

Benjamin returned to Ghana in 2018, and currently he is the General Manager for Genelec Infrastructure Development Services in Accra (GIDS). GIDS brings together finance, design and construction of infrastructure projects in Ghana such as the Finance, Design and Construction of Tema-Aflao Phase 1 road project.
