CivilEng

The Department of Civil Engineering was decoupled from the Department of Building Technology to train students in design, construction and management in order to fit into the competitive and dynamic profession of Civil Engineers. Its Higher National Diploma in Civil Engineering is aimed at producing technologists with mastery in executing civil engineering projects. The Department of Highways Laboratory has been made available for students’ practical through institutional collaboration.

Objectives

  • To provide the needed civil engineering manpower towards the construction of roads, and other civil works worldwide.
  • To provide students with the ability to use techniques, skills and modern engineering tools necessary for Engineering practice.
  • To provide necessary broad education to students to enable them understand professional and ethical responsibilities.
