The Department of Hospitality and Tourism Management was established in 1968 to equip students with strong applied and conceptual skills in Hospitality and Tourism in order to contribute significantly to meet the growing dynamic needs of hospitality and tourism-related firms.
The Department runs the following programmes:

  • Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Hospitality and Tourism Management
  • Higher National Diploma (HND) in Hotel, Catering and Institutional Management
  • Certificate in Hospitality and Catering Management

Objectives

  • To equip students with practical and entrepreneurial skills to set up and manage innovative food processing and hospitality businesses.
  • To produce competent graduate with the requisite skills and knowledge for managerial/supervisory positions in the Hospitality and Tourism industry.
  • To expose students to foundational and conceptual knowledge that will enable them pursue higher studies in Hospitality and Tourism.
