The Faculty of Applied Sciences and Technology, one of the five Faculties of the University, was established in 1993 with the mission of producing highly skilled professionals and entrepreneurs in varied disciplines in Applied Sciences and Technology. Presently, with a total of forty-seven (47) faculty and eight hundred (800) students, the Faculty provides outstanding and distinctive academic programmes from certificate to Bachelor degree levels through her five departments namely:

The Faculty currently runs one (1) Bachelor degree, six (6) HND and one (1) non-tertiary programmes. Also, the Faculty has submitted eight (8) new Bachelor degrees and one (1) Master degree programmes in the various disciplines for accreditation. To deepen the research base of lecturers, the Faculty has instituted faculty seminars as well as the annual National Food Hygiene, Sanitation and Safety Conference. In order to encourage excellence among students of the Faculty, a best graduating student award has been instituted. Poised to continuously provide a dynamic environment that seeks to foster academic innovations and excellence in teaching, learning and research, a number of proposals are being developed to help equip the departments.
