Interim Director of Finance
Mr. Kennedy K. Deh


The current interim Director of Finance is Mr. Kennedy K. Deh. The Finance Director is an integral part of the Technical University administration with the responsibility of accounting for the flow of funds, the institution and maintenance of adequate records and controls on behalf of the Governing Council. The Finance Director seeks to facilitate the efficient management of the Technical University’s resources, and ensures the integrity and compliance of its business processes.
 
The Director is also responsible for providing management, information for decision making, effective financial planning, and meaningful financial reporting. In the discharge of its functions, the Director ensures adherence to financial laws and regulations, i.e. Financial Administration Act, 2003 (Act 654), The Public Procurement Act, 2003 (Act 663); Internal Audit Agency Act, 2003 (Act 658), Financial Administration Regulation, 2004 (L.I. 1802), and Internal Revenue Act, 2000 (Act 592), among others.
 
The Finance Director has four sections – Financial Reporting, Management Accounting, Treasury, and Payroll. The Financial Reporting section co-ordinates the preparation of the Technical University’s annual financial report. The Management Accounting section co-ordinates the preparation of annual budget, and monitors budget and actual spending. The Treasury section maintains students’ records relating to billing and payment of fees, and generally responsible for monitoring revenues. The Payroll section facilitates the payment of staff salaries and other remunerations.
